Yatzy - Social Dice Game

Roll the dice and challenge your friends with this classic dice game! Yatzy is a public domain dice game that brings the excitement of rolling dice right to your fingertips. Similar to games like Yacht and Yahtzee (trademarked by Hasbro in the United States), Yatzy offers a fun and engaging way to spend time with friends.

How to Play

• Rolling the Dice: Players take turns rolling five dice.
• Choosing Dice: After each roll, players choose which dice to keep and which to reroll. A player may reroll some or all of the dice up to two times during their turn.
• Scoring: Each player must place a score or zero into a score box each turn.
• Game End: The game concludes when all score boxes are filled. The player with the highest total score emerges as the winner.

Scoring Rules

• Single Numbers: Score the sum of the corresponding dice values:
  • ⚀ Ones
  • ⚁ Twos
  • ⚂ Threes
  • ⚃ Fours
  • ⚄ Fives
  • ⚅ Sixes
• Special Combinations:
  • At least three of the same dice: Sum of all dice
  • At least four of the same dice: Sum of all dice
  • Three of a kind and a pair: 25 points
  • Four dice in a sequence: 30 points
  • Five dice in a sequence: 40 points
  • All of a kind: 50 points
  • Any combination of dice: Sum of all dice
• Bonus: If the sum of the boxes reaches 63 or more, a bonus of 35 points is awarded.

Special Rules

• You can place a Yatzy in any box, regardless of its requirements.
• If you make a Yatzy and the Yatzy box has already been filled with a 50, you’ll score an additional 50 points.
