The History Today Magazine app offers some of the best historical writing out there, with engaging and diverse topics each month. However, the app could use improvements in navigation. There’s no bookmark feature, which makes it hard to resume reading mid-article without scrolling back through. Also, more customization options for text size would be useful, especially on smaller screens.

I love this app! The quality of the content is top-notch, and the articles cover a wide range of fascinating historical events and themes. As someone who enjoys history, I find it to be a great value for the price, especially with access to both digital and print editions.

Unfortunately, I’ve had issues logging into my account as a print subscriber. Clicking the log-in button does nothing, which is frustrating. Until this issue is resolved, I can’t recommend the app.

The app is a downgrade for long-time subscribers. While the magazine itself is fantastic, the app only allows access to digital issues from July 2015 onwards. It feels like a step backward compared to the old app, which offered access to more back issues.
