Infrared (IR) Control

This feature leverages the infrared (IR) capabilities of your device. The app works seamlessly on smartphones and tablets equipped with an in-built IR blaster, such as the HTC ONE series, certain models from Philips like G3/G4/G5, Xiaomi Mi / Redmi / Note series, and Huawei Mate / Honor series. To ensure optimal performance, it is essential to point your smartphone's IR blaster directly at the TV. Typically, the effective range is between 4 to 10 feet (1 to 3 meters), with a maximum reach of approximately 5 meters.

However, it's important to note that the functionality may be affected under certain conditions. For instance, if your phone is in power-saving mode or if the battery is nearly depleted, the IR blaster might not function properly or the range could be significantly reduced to less than 5 feet (2 meters).

No Replacement, Just Backup

The primary goal of this app is not to replace the original TV remote but to serve as a reliable backup. The app is designed to be user-friendly and does not require any pairing process with the TV, making it instantly ready for use once installed.
