Adobe today announced Adobe Comp CC, a mobile app for Android devices that allows designers to create layout concepts for mobile, web, and print projects. Comp CC enables users to initiate design projects on their mobile devices and seamlessly transition to desktop for final production using Creative Cloud tools.

Key Features:

• Gesture-Based Creation: Use simple gestures to quickly create high-fidelity layouts. Draw a circle and Comp CC will convert it into a perfect circle. Draw a rectangle and tap a dot beside it to create a headline.
• Creative Cloud Integration: Connects your mobile and desktop applications with Creative Cloud. Access assets, including images, colors, text styles, and brushes, from Creative Cloud Libraries.
• Mobile Workspace: Functions as a digital sketchpad. Create layouts on the go and finish them on your desktop.
• Compatibility: Layouts created in the app can be sent to Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign to complete the design on your computer. Comp CC creates native Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator files.
• Format Options: Start a new "Comp" and choose from a variety of Web, phone, and print page-size presets or specify custom sizes. You can always change the page size and aspect ratio afterward.

How it Works:

Adobe Comp CC offers two primary methods for creating layouts. Users can utilize built-in gestures to automatically generate predefined objects, including basic geometry and text objects, or they can manually add objects. The app also allows users to insert and format content, including images from their device, assets from Adobe's Creative Cloud Market, and Typekit fonts.
