Empowering Our Community

Our mission is to internationalize the Ambazonia struggle, empowering our people and the oppressed to envision a better future. With our global headquarters in Washington D.C., we ensure that our stories are authentic, unbiased, and untainted. We aim to present real-life situations and experiences that shed light on critical issues affecting our community.

Historical Context

On April 21, 1961, the United Nations voted for the independence of the British Southern Cameroons. According to UN Resolution 1608(XV), the Southern Cameroons had the right to sovereignty. However, France, driven by its interests in French Cameroun, covertly worked to undermine this goal. Britain, the administering authority over the British Southern Cameroons, was allegedly misled by the French, leading to the "independence by joining" concept that ultimately deprived the Southern Cameroons of their sovereignty.

The Foumban Talks

The UN and the British did not participate in the Foumban Talks, where a federal constitution was imposed on the Southern Cameroons by President Ahmadou Ahidjo of French Cameroun, accompanied by French advisers. Mola Njoh Litumbe, a prominent figure at the time, argued that the people of Southern Cameroons were entitled to sovereignty under UN Resolution 1608(XV).

Joining Forces

By joining the sovereign state of La République du Cameroun in a federation of two states, equal in status, the Southern Cameroons were expected to achieve independence on October 1, 1961. However, this vision was thwarted by external influences and internal challenges.

Conclusion

At ABC Amba TV, we continue to fight for the recognition and empowerment of our people. We strive to make the world a better place, one story at a time.
