The UCSF WYZ application is designed specifically for young individuals, providing a comprehensive platform to support their health and well-being. The app is equipped with three primary features: My Health, My Team, and My Community.

My Health

In the My Health section, users can manage their healthcare more effectively by setting medication and refill reminders. Additionally, they can monitor their lab results, ensuring they stay informed about their health status. This feature simplifies the often complex process of managing medications and health data, making it easier for young people to take control of their health journey.

My Team

The My Team feature connects users with community-based organizations that offer a wide range of services including health, housing, food, job assistance, legal services, mental health support, and substance use resources. By leveraging this feature, users can find the support they need to address various aspects of their lives, fostering a holistic approach to well-being. This ensures that young individuals have access to the necessary resources to lead healthy and productive lives.

My Community

Within the My Community section, users can engage with other young people through a dedicated chat platform, staying connected and sharing experiences. This feature also includes the ability to receive medical news updates and set reminders for clinic appointments directly in their calendar. By staying informed and organized, users can better manage their healthcare needs and maintain regular contact with their healthcare providers.

About UCSF WYZ

UCSF WYZ was developed collaboratively by researchers from the UCSF Department of Medicine, in partnership with a youth advisory board and technology developers. This collaborative effort ensures that the app is tailored to meet the unique needs and preferences of its target audience, offering a user-friendly and effective tool for managing health and connecting with supportive communities.
