The Call of Duty Squid Game event has arrived
A new Squid Game crossover event has launched in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 in collaboration with Netflix. This exciting in-game event features numerous challenges and rewards, along with limited-time modes in multiplayer, zombies, and Call of Duty: Warzone.
One mode, in particular, has players buzzing with anticipation: the Red Light, Green Light multiplayer mode.🟢🔴 This mode allows you to recreate the iconic death game from the show, but with a unique Call of Duty twist. Rest assured, it’s just as entertaining and intense as the original!
In Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's Red Light, Green Light game mode, players compete across three rounds, adhering to a straightforward rule: move only when Young-Hee says "Green Light." Anyone caught moving during "Red Light" will be eliminated.
In the first round, players start without weapons. However, in rounds 2 and 3, they have the chance to find and pick up weapons scattered on the ground. Once armed, players can eliminate each other using melee attacks, adding an extra layer of strategy and excitement to the gameplay.
It features new modes and operator skins
It’s not the only new mode, however, as there is also Pentathlon - which mixes Domination, Kill Confirmed, and Hardpoint with the all-new Piggy Bank Team Deathmach and Roulette. Piggy Bank Team Deathmatch sees each elimination contribute to a Mega Piggy Bank, which rewards a massive payout during the match.
Roulette rewards players for scoring eliminations with the Roulette Handgun, which has a small chance of killing you every time it is fired.
The Squid Game Moshpit features familiar modes like Team Deathmatch, Domination, and Hardpoint, but with exciting Squid Game-themed twists. Among these are the Red Light, Green Light Scorestreak, Piggy Bank, and Roulette Handgun, each introducing an element of risk and reward while capturing the essence of the show.
In Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's zombie mode, players can experience Dead Light, Green Light. During the Green Light phase, eliminating zombies grants players Essence, which can be used to purchase weapons and other upgrades. However, during the Dead Light phase, any player who moves will lose Essence. This mechanic encourages players to strategize: spend their Essence before Dead Light or hold still and risk being overrun by zombies.
There are also rewards to earn
Things are getting squiddy in Warzone as well, with new Squid Game challenges for players to tackle. These challenges will require players to adapt their strategies to succeed, as only the top squads will advance to the next round, while the others will be eliminated. It's crucial to stay focused on the current challenge to maximize your chances of winning.
Players can look forward to a variety of Squid Game-themed rewards, including the Pink Guards Tracer Pack, the VIPs Tracer Pack, the Young-Hee Tracer Pack, and a new event pass featuring both free and premium rewards.
