Miles Ahead

Miles Ahead was designed with the goal of helping to simplify the chore of completing Mileage, Time and Activity logs. With it you can spend less time completing paperwork, and more time on what you want to do.

Miles Ahead is a simple solution to a complicated problem. Enter your trip information, tap “Save” and move on to something else. Return trips are even simpler. Tap the “Return Trip” button and the locations will swap; time and mileage will be updated, and you can go on with your day.

How is this different from other Mileage Logs?

Other mileage logs have an overly complicated interface or don’t work the way you would expect, leading to frustration. “Automatic” mileage trackers will claim to do all the work, so you don’t have to, but most require a subscription, have numerous in-app purchases, or will malfunction and miss trips, potentially eating into any financial benefit they may have provided (also a source of frustration).

Forgot to create/complete an entry?

Add it when you remember. Your previously entered information will still be there when you come back so you can start an entry when you depart and complete it at any time.

I made a mistake on an entry, what do I do?

All entries are fully editable after they have been saved. Find it in the list (Most recent is always up top), tap it and make your changes.

What about repeating trips?

All the information you enter will be stored in the database for easy selection and filling of future entries. Select previously entered Locations, Purposes, and Job Numbers to save time and reduce thumb fatigue.

How do I use the stored information?

Miles Ahead will generate a Microsoft Excel report for a range of dates that you select. You can then choose to save the report for your records or share it with the world (if that’s your thing, we won’t judge).

- Perform quick database cleanup with familiar gestures such as swipe to delete

- Multi-select on all list entries to bulk delete, or go to settings to purge all the entries in a list
