Gameplay

The Cult is designed for 4 to 10 players, each secretly assigned a role aligned with either the village or the cult. Over the course of 5 intense rounds, the fate of the village hangs in the balance. During each round, a new leader will choose players to embark on a quest. These players have the power to determine whether the quest succeeds or fails.

To secure victory, the village team must ensure that at least 3 out of the 5 quests are successful. On the other hand, the cult seeks to sabotage these quests to tip the scales in their favor.

Roles and Strategies

Players on the village side must always vote for the quest to succeed, using their collective wisdom to overcome any challenges. Meanwhile, members of the cult have the freedom to vote either way, adding an element of unpredictability to every decision.

A crucial role in the game is the seer, who is part of the village team and possesses the ability to identify cult members. This insider knowledge can be invaluable during quests, allowing the village to make more informed decisions. However, the cult has one final ace up their sleeve: after the game concludes, they get to vote on who they believe the seer is. If they correctly identify the seer, the cult emerges victorious.
